Elite Plus Laser
Elite Plus epilation laser is a dual wavelength device that adopts alexandrite and YAG , the pair which complement each other's insufficiency inorder to achieve the best hair removal outcome.
Alexandrite laser has a good melanin absortion that enables it to perform the best epilation among all lasers and it is the most used type in the field of cosmetic devices.
However, its penetration through the skin layer is not satisfactorily deep that makes it not reliable enough to conquer thicker and deeper hair follicles such as men's facial hair and bikini line hairs. This wavelength is usually used for regular body hairs or women's thin facial hairs.
Because it only reaches shallow skin layer, melanin near the skin surface usually reacts easily to this laser that it may sometimes burn darker skin tone.
YAG laser's excellently deep skin penetration makes it the best laser for thicker hair follicles. Especially men's facial hair, VIO(Japanese terminology for bikini line + groin area), or the armpit .
Since it goes deeper through the skin, it selectively reacts only to the deeper melanin while sparing melanin near the skin surface, meaning it does not easily burn it even with the darker skin types.
The only disadvantage is that it can also touch pain nerve endings when it reacts deeper in the skin. This means pain during the procedure. But by using an outstanding cooling device with this procedure, the pain is easily tolerable, making you do more on your next sesssion.
